Privacy Policy for aKnitThing

1. Overview

aKnitThing is designed as a local-first app. No account is required to use it.

2. Data stored locally

Your projects, counters, row notes, knitting sessions, imported pattern PDFs, project cover images and completion photos are stored locally on your device. The app does not automatically upload this data to the developer.

3. Data collection

aKnitThing currently does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, account or profile data, or tracking data.

4. Photos and files

The app accesses only the photos and PDFs that you explicitly select for use in aKnitThing.

5. Wrapped sharing

Project Wrapped images are generated locally on your device. Sharing happens only after you take an explicit action and uses Apple’s system share sheet. aKnitThing does not automatically upload Wrapped images.

6. Third-party services

aKnitThing contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or third-party tracking SDKs.

7. Data deletion

You can delete projects and relevant content from within the app. Deleting aKnitThing removes locally stored application data, subject to Apple’s normal backup and restore behaviour.

8. Changes

This policy may change if the app’s functionality or data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page.
